The University of Connecticut's Avery Point Campus provides access
to most University of Connecticut academic majors through its two
and three year general education and transitional course program.
The Avery Point campus also supports three four-year degree programs.
Two are related to the coastal and maritime aspects of the campus'
marine mission; a coastal studies degree and a maritime studies degree.
Avery Point is the home campus for the Marine Sciences Department
which confers Master's and Doctorate degrees in various disciplines
within the marine sciences.
Founded in 1911 and located in New London, Connecticut College is
a private, coeducational liberal arts college known for academic excellence,
interdisciplinary learning and innovation in education. The college
offers more than 1000 courses in 27 academic departments and interdisciplinary
programs, and 55 traditional majors, plus opportunities for self-designed
courses of study.
Located on the banks of the Thames River in New London, men and women
who attend this military college earn college degrees in science or
engineering while concurrently earning a commission as Ensign. This
military college serves as the site for the Coast Guard Museum, home
of the U.S. Coast Guard Band, and as homeport for the U.S. Coast Guard
Barque EAGLE, America's Tall Ship.
Mitchell College is a coeducational, private residential institution
offering ten associate and seven bachelor degree programs in the liberal
arts and professional areas. Located in New London, the campus has
a suburban, residential, waterfront campus situated on the Connecticut
shoreline.
Located on the campus of Mitchell College in New London, UNH/Southeastern
offers academic degree programs for the full-time working adult who
is interested in career advancement. UNH/Southeastern Graduate Center
focuses exclusively on graduate-level education. Its Master's Degree
programs include Master of Business Administration, Executive Master
of Science in Engineering Management, Master of Science in Computer
Science, and Master of Science in Education.
Three Rivers Community College is a comprehensive, publicly supported
college that provides a broad range of credit and non-credit liberal
arts and sciences, career, technical, associate degree and certificate
programs leading to transfer, employment, and lifelong learning.
A studio-centered art college designed to assist those who are fully
engaged in creating art and building a solid foundation for their
development as artists. This college is distinguished among art schools
in America for its contemporary BFA, Post Baccalaureate, and Certificate
