Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB)
The Chamber and EWIB have a collaborative partnership with the shared goal of growing eastern CT’s economy through workforce-related programs. A Chamber staff member works out of the American Job Centers’ Montville office to support the Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative and On-The-Job Training Programs
Connecticut Small Business Development Council
The Chamber partners with CT SBDC in eastern CT to offer professional, confidential, and expert business advice for business owners to overcome challenges and reach their goals. SBDC has free resources, tools, and online trainings to offer business help along the way. SBDC Business Advisors provide geographic-based demographics, consumer spending data, market research, financial projections, industry reports and more.
Women’s Business Development Council
The Chamber partners with WBDC’s Southeastern CT site, which was founded to foster the growth of women-owned businesses in New London and Middlesex Counties by providing access to education, mentoring, business development and financing opportunities. Through free and low-cost training counseling, WBDC’s team of experts equip women and men in the region with the confidence, competencies, and connections they need to build thriving entrepreneurial ventures.
SECWAC
The Chamber supports SECWAC’s mission to foster an understanding of issues of foreign policy and international affairs by providing administrative support for the organization and promoting their dynamic monthly speaker series.
HBRAECT
The Chamber and the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Eastern CT co-present Eastern CT’s Premier Home Show, connecting residents with local contractors. The Chamber also provides administrative support and office space for the organization.
Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut
The Chamber partners with the Community Foundation of Eastern CT to increase capacity of our region’s non-profit organizations. The co-hosted Nonprofit Conference brings in noted speakers and attracts nearly 100 nonprofit staff annually.
Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition
The Chamber partners with the Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition to better serve the businesses in our region. Collaborative efforts to support the arts, culture and tourism industry include co-hosted events, aligned communications and targeted services.
Southeast Connecticut Enterprise Region (seCTer)
The Chamber partners with the Southeastern CT Enterprise Region (seCTer) on economic development initiatives including collaboration with CT’s Department of Economic Development (DECD) and the CT Economic Resource Center (CERC), Thames River Innovation Place and ChooseCT.gov.
Naval and Maritime Consortium
The Chamber partners with the Naval and Maritime Consortium to foster a diverse maritime economy in the region. The Chamber provides Consortium members with access to Chamber events and resources
