This Offshore Wind Strategic Study was commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, Ørsted and Eversource to create a list of recommendations for how Connecticut can build on its existing strengths and advantages to capture future benefits of the offshore wind industry.

Current Projects
Revolution Wind will provide 304 MW to Connecticut and 400 MW to Rhode Island of clean, affordable offshore wind power.
Equinor has two projects in the CT region: Beacon Wind, in federal waters approximately 60 miles east of Montauk Point and 20 miles south of Nantucket and Empire Wind: 15-30 Miles South of Long Island.
Park City Wind is 804 megawatt offshore wind project to be constructed in Avangrid Renewables’ federally designated lease area located at least 22 miles off the coast of Massachusetts.
