The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation closed out 2025 by raising more than $122,000 during the 40th Annual Holiday Gala and Auction, a Ruby Celebration, on December 12.

Generously hosted by Mohegan Sun, and supported by Diamond Sponsors Mohegan Tribe, Hartford Healthcare, and Family First Life, the event once again drew a diverse crowd of business, municipal, tribal, and non-profit leaders and other supporters from across the region.

For four decades, attendees and sponsors of this signature event have provided funding for vital community services. Since 1994, the Foundation has contributed more than $2 million to organizations working every day to improve lives across eastern Connecticut.

In just the last year, the Foundation awarded more than $106,000 in grants to 46 programs focused on education, accessibility, economic empowerment, food security, and other essential needs. Additionally, the Foundation provided $5,000 in scholarships to four graduating high school seniors.

“On behalf of the entire Foundation Board and all the families and individuals we help to support, I extend a sincere ‘Thank You’ to all who attended, sponsored, or otherwise supported this most important event,” expresses Louis Ziegler, Foundation Board Chairman.
