Eastern Regional Tourism District

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut and the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce serve as the Administrative Partner for the Eastern Regional Tourism District. The Eastern Regional Tourism District’s mission is to promote and market the District as a regional leisure and business traveler destination to stimulate economic growth. Together our organizations work diligently to support the tourism economy in eastern Connecticut.

The 41 towns we represent are: Ashford, Bozrah, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Eastford, East Lyme, Franklin, Griswold, Groton, Hampton, Killingly, Lebanon, Ledyard, Lisbon, Lyme, Mansfield, Montville, New London, North Stonington, Norwich, Old Lyme, Plainfield, Pomfret, Preston, Putnam, Salem, Scotland, Sprague, Sterling, Stonington, Thompson, Union, Voluntown, Waterford, Willington, Windham, and Woodstock. .

CHAT

Connecticut Hospitality Awareness Training (CHAT)

The CT Tourism Coalition launched the CT Hospitality Awareness Training program (CHAT) to train frontline personnel who work at attractions, hotels, restaurants and other businesses that make up the Connecticut tourism industry. CHAT is Connecticut’s first online training program to educate workers on the fundamentals of hospitality service and the significance of tourism to our economy. The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT has partnered with the CT Tourism Coalition, to create an Eastern CT curriculum for CHAT.
Fam Tour Eastern CT

Regional Fam Tour

Our Fam Tours (familiarization tours) are regional tours of art, culture, and tourism attractions designed for hospitality professionals. Usually held before the the tourism season begins, Fam Tours are a fun-filled day with peer-to-peer updates about what’s happening, opening and changing in the upcoming season. Hospitality professionals will be better prepared to advise guests and make contacts for successful cross-promotions.
