Technology Council
The Chamber’s Technology Council will be dedicated to fostering innovation and technological advancement within the business community. Our goal is to stay attuned to emerging technologies and trends, ensuring our members are well-prepared to leverage these advancements for growth and success. With a focus on the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and its transformative impact on various industries, the council aims to provide insights, resources, and networking opportunities to help businesses integrate cutting-edge tech solutions effectively.
Legislative Affairs Council
Meets to discuss legislative concerns and to propose or advocate for legislation to support economic development and the business community. The Chamber works closely with this committee to set its yearly agenda, and tracks activities in Hartford and beyond through TrackBill, our online bill-tracking software designed for members to engage in the political process.
Military Affairs Council
Serves as a vital link between active duty military and the region, helping organize the Chamber’s annual Military Appreciation Breakfast, Service Person of the Month program, and military discount program.
Education Council
Meets September-April
The Chamber’s Education Council strives to bring our community and schools together by acting as a liaison between the business and education communities. The committee provides volunteers the opportunity to connect with one or more schools within eastern CT.

Human Resources Council
HR professionals keep the Chamber informed of labor law updates, best practices for recruitment and retention, conflict resolution, and other relevant or innovative ideas to support an engaged workforce.
Event Committees
Citizen of the Year Committee
Meets January – March
A committee charged with planning the Citizen of the Year celebration. Citizen of the Year honors an outstanding person selected from the region who has made significant contributions to eastern Connecticut. The committee membership is by invitation only.
Holiday Gala Committee
Meets July – December
Responsible for coordinating the Holiday Gala/Auction which aims to raise funds to benefit the Chamber’s Foundation.
Annual Golf Tournament Committee
Meets March – June
Responsible for coordinating the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament. Event proceeds support the Chamber’s initiatives to strengthen the regional economy and provide essential resources to local businesses.
