Father’s Day Fun for the Family
Summer is here and it’s time to celebrate with Dad! So many options are open this weekend, it may be hard to pick. So don’t. Plan the day out you’ve been waiting for!
For the Grill Master, or Master of the Man Cave
A new grill would be the perfect gift and would keep the kitchen cool as summer heats up. Or maybe it’s time to refresh the Man Cave with a new Hi Def TV or beverage fridge. You can get it all and anything for the home at Shore TV or Keith’s Appliance. If you go for the fridge, be sure it’s fully stocked with the best in craft beers from Beer’d or do a beer (and nacho) run to Willimantic Brewing Company.
Longing for the Links
If Dad’s perfect day is on the golf course, have him enjoy 18 holes at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club. The Clubhouse and Pautipaug Pub are scheduled to open this weekend.
DIY Dad, Fully Equipped
For the father who enjoys puttering around the house instead of putting, Tractor Supply Co.’s Father’s Day Gift Guide and Rings End’s Father’s Day Tool Sale will put a drill in one hand and a socket wrench in the other. A full selection of paints and gardening supplies are at Holdridge Home & Garden Showplace and Frank Webb Home is filled with fixtures for kitchen and bath.
Mobile Dad, Fully Connected
Get Fit Gifts
Our Chamber fitness experts are eager to get everyone in shape after quarantine. Maybe a membership is the perfect gift for Father’s Day or set up some time with a personal trainer to get that body moving again.
Cast a Line or Sip Some Wine
Sports fishing is up and running with Black Hawk II and Mijoy 747 docked on Niantic Bay. Be sure to get reservations for an upcoming trip. Argia Mystic Cruises aboard the tall ship schooner begins on June 26 so now is the time to book a trip for dad and pack a picnic so he can enjoy a relaxing sail.
From fishing to seal watching, there are cruises that offer a perfect day from our Chamber members on the water.
Saltwater Farms Vineyard, Preston Ridge Vineyard, Stonington Vineyard, Maugle Sierra Vineyards, and Jonathan Edwards Winery are all open. A glass of Pinot Grigio in the vineyard makes for a great Sunday. Visit vineyard website or social media before you go.
Dining Out, Dining In
