On July 14, Senator Richard Blumenthal joined the Chamber and community members for updates on the federal response to COVID-19 and the programs he is working toward implementing in support of healthcare workers, businesses, and education. He covered the defense bill coming before the Senate. He also discussed racial injustice and the work he believes needs to be done to address it.

The event was sponsored by Norwich Public Utilities and We Work for Health Connecticut. Paul Pescatello co-chair of We Work for Health Connecticut, a coalition of bio-pharma companies, patient groups and unions, reported on the promising developments in COVID-19 vaccine development and treatment. Chris Riley, Communications and Community Outreach Manager for Norwich Public Utilities shared about the work they are doing to support the community during this unprecedented time.
