Libraries across the region are stepping up with programs, access, and even opportunities to socialize to help patrons cope with COVID.  

Mystic Noank Library 

Struggling to operate an effective, functional webinar, or haven’t tried it yet? The Mystic-Noank Library is offering a free program on using Zoom for Webinars and Instruction on August 31, 4-5pm. They are also offering remote tech help for smartphone, tablet, and computer. Visit their calendar for digital programs on mental health, book discussions, or kids activities. The library is open with social distancing measures in place, visit mysticnoaklibrary.org to view guidelines and hours.  

Public Library of New London 

Access information on grants through the Foundation Directory Online, now available from home for a limited time. Brainfuse JobNow offers library patrons access to live job coaching, real-time interview practice, resume assistance, career resources, and skill building. Students can access homework help and a 24-hour writing lab. Visit the calendar for author talks, information sessions and a virtual community knit. The library is open for browsing and checking out materials to use at home, visit plnl.org to view hours, services available by appointment, and areas open for use. 

Otis Library 

Otis library also offers Brainfuse Job Now resources for their patrons, with job search and job skills assistance. Ask a librarian is a service offered online while the library is provides limited access to the stacks and computers, arranged by appointment.
