David Mansulla wanted to build a business focused on making people’s lives better in a significant way. Solar, a clean, renewable energy, was the clear answer. Suntastic Solutions connects people to solar energy by installing systems by SunPower, a company that has been in the solar business for 35 years.
Going solar and going green makes a positive impact on the world. Additionally, solar has the power to offer relief from high utility costs. To make things even better, there are the state and federal tax incentives for going solar; it’s 26% just for the federal tax incentive alone through 2022. This opportunity is time sensitive, however. In 2023, it drops to 22% and in 2024, it’s gone.
“I believe that solar is the best way for me to help Connecticut residents save money and help our planet,” said David, who designs every new system to save his clients the most money.
Sunstastic Solutions walks homeowners through the opportunities and facts of going solar. Each home is unique, and David helps clients see if solar is a workable solution for their home, shows them what their installation would look like, reviews their current energy plan compared to a solar plan, and provides in writing how much they are expected to save.
“I involve the homeowners through each step right from the beginning, which makes a big difference in their comfort level. They get excited with their solar system when they take a part in understanding and creating it with me,” said David.
The process begins with a free solar consultation service, followed by a full solar presentation on Suntastic Soluntion services, SunPower products, and how they stand out from the competition.
“A free consultation in many businesses usually ranges from 20-30 minutes. By contrast, my free estimates often take between 15-20 hours,” said David. It includes determining which, if any, trees would need to be removed and cost estimates, taking panoramic and areal pictures used for installation crews, and building out several financial options for review, with and without solar batteries. “It’s an amazing free service that most solar companies don’t bother with. They just tell the client they can’t go solar. So I help a lot of people others won’t take the time to help. That’s one of the reasons I named my company Suntastic Solutions.”
SunPower just introduced their batteries to the Connecticut market, and Suntastic Solutions is one of handful of dealers offering this convenient solution to managing your power and keeping the lights on in an outage. These smart batteries can be managed with a smart phone, allowing you to budget your use for days.
David also helps clients find the best financial fit, too, from a cash deal to save the most to a range of terms on 10-, 15-, 20- or 25-year loans to lease options.
“Whatever way they go, I’m selling price-protected power. They now know what their electric bill will be month by month. As time goes on and utility rates continue to increase, their fixed solar bill looks better and better each year,” said David.
In addition to saving money, homeowners can feel good about the average solar system saving four tons of carbon emissions each year. That’s the equivalent to planting 100 trees each year the system is in operation.
When David opened Suntastic Solutions, he was committed to putting the customers’ interests first and providing a product that truly benefits their lives. That passion drives what he does every day.
