Charter Oak Federal Credit Union donated $35,000 in emergency funds to 14 food pantries in New London and Windham counties to help them meet increased need. Read the news release.
The Community Foundation of Eastern CT announced three actions to address the impact of COVID-19 including immediate relief through $403,500 in grants, a new Neighbors for Neighbors Fund, and grants to local hospitals. Read the news release.
Connecticut College donated masks, gloves, food, furniture and more to New London’s community partners. Read the news release.
Daddy Jack’s in New London offered free pizza kits, handed out on their front porch on Bank Street, with the support of other businesses, including fellow Chamber member Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home.
Dime Bank provided grants to six organizations providing food to those in need: New London Area Food Coalition, Norwich Acts of Kindness, Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, St. Vincent de Paul Place, TVCCA, and United Way of SECT. Read the news release.
